Respected Shravak and Shravika,

Pranam.

Melbourne Shwetambar Jain Sangh (MSJS) is pleased to inform that the Aaso Maas Navpadji Oli / Aayambil Oli starts from Saturday, 5th October 2019 to Sunday, 13th October 2019 (from Aaso Sud 7 to Aaso Sud 15).

As per Jainism, Navpadji Oli is considered as Shashwati Parva. It means Navpadji Oli festivals exist in all time cycles (past, present and future).

During these nine days, one should do Aayambil - means - Eat once in a day in one sitting- a simple spice free food, boiled or cooked without milk, curd, ghee, oil, green/raw vegetables, fruits, dry fruits and sugar.

To celebrate this occasion, MSJS has organised Navpadji Oli related pravachan, Samooh Aayambil at MSJS Centre during two weekends, i.e. 5th & 6th October 2019 and 12th & 13th October 2019. We have also organised Sattar Bhedi Pooja on Sunday 13th October 2019.

MSJS is delighted to confirm that Swadhyay Premi Shri Deepakbhai Shah (Bardoli) has kindly accepted our request to take us through the “Importance of Oli” and “Shripal Mayna Raas” during Oli. Live pravachan by Deepakbhai will be organised @ MSJS Centre on both weekends. We request all Sadharmiks to participate and make the most of this unique opportunity.

Important :

To enable all Sadharmik to participate in Live Pravachan, MSJS has made arrangements for Aayambil as well as normal (non-Aayambil) meal.

The team is also planning for special activities for children aged 3-14 year old.

Those who do not wish to do Aayambil are welcome to participate in Pravachan and Sattar Bhedi Pooja and have normal meal instead. RSVP is required for all meals.

Note: Children should bring their toys, a pen/pencil and notepad.

For any queries, please email us on [email protected].

Regards,
MSJS Management Committee

Sunday, 13th October 2019 (09:00 am to 11:15 am at MSJS Centre)

Sattar Bhedi Pooja is usually performed to do Prayaschit for any Ashaatna done in Sangh Derasar or Sangh events throughout the year (Example: Sneezing during Samvatsari Pratikraman). MSJS has organised this Pooja to bring peace, happiness, prosperity, and good health for all.
MSJS will provide all required items for the Pooja. However, as we know, it provides immense satisfaction to do Pooja with personal items (Sva-Dravya). If you wish to use Sva-Dravya, Sangh will be happy to provide you required guidance. We request all Sadharmik to come in Pooja clothes to participate in Sattar-Bhedi Pooja.
