Respected Shravak/Shravika,
Pranam,
Navpadji Oli / Aayambil Oli starts on Tuesday 30th September, 2014 and ends on Wednesday 8th October 2014 (Aaso Sud 8 to Aaso Sud 15). As per Jainism, Navpadji Oli is considered as Shashwati Parva. It means Navpadji Oli festivals exist in all time cycles (past, present and future).
During these nine days, one should do Aayambil - means - Eat once in a day in one sitting- a simple spice free food, boiled or cooked without milk, curd, ghee, oil, green/raw vegetables, fruits, dry fruits and sugar.
To celebrate this occasion Melbourne Shwetambar Jain Sangh (MSJS) has organised Shripal & Mayna Raas Vanchan by Shri Jayeshbhai Doshi (Panditji) on 4th and 5th October, 2014 (Sat/Sun).
Shripal & Mayna Raas Vanchan:
Approximately 21,00,000 years ago, King Shripal and Queen Mayana devoutly observed The Navapad Aradhana (puja) with all its vitality. The result was miraculous and that is why even today we remember them during these Navpadji Oli / Aayambil Oli days. This Pravachan of Shripal & Mayana Raas will give more information about this very divine story of King Shripal and Queen Mayana.
Shri Jayeshbhai Doshi (Panditji) has studied in Yashovijayji Jain Sanskrit Pathshala and has been teaching Sadhu/Sadhviji Bhagwant for past 13 years.
Jayeshbhai will also lead and guide us do Laghu Siddhachakra Poojan on Siddhachakra Yantra on both days. Sadharmik will be able to take provided Yantra home.
To encourage and assist all Sadharmik to do Aayambil, Melbourne Shwetambar Jain Sangh (MSJS) has also organised Samooh Aayambil during above two days.
Kind regards
MSJS Committee
