Shree Melbourne Shwetambar Jain Sangh (MSJS) launched MSJS Suvikas Pathshala in April 2025 with great success. This new initiative has welcomed students from ages 4 through to 55 to participate, with 6000+ gathas recited from April 2025 to November 2025!

We are already witnessing signs of how this collective swadhyay is strengthening the knowledge base for our Sangh and therefore we will be continuing MSJS Suvikas Pathshala in 2026.

MSJS Suvikas Pathshala  offers structured classes with experienced Guruji from India, who will help students progress in their Gyan journey through SUVIKAS:

SU– Sutra (Online classes for Sutra Gatha giving/taking)
VI - Vidhi (GuruVandan, Samayik Levani/Parvani, Chaityavandan, Pratikraman, etc.)
KA - Kavya (Stavan, Thoy, Sajjay)
S – Stories (Guruji will take opportunities during special festivals to share stories etc.)

Please ensure you register for MSJS Suvikas Pathshala by 11^th January 2026 to be included for 2026 commencement on 2^nd February 2026.

Note 1: Any existing students from 2025 who have already re-registered using google form DO NOT need to register again.

Note 2: Any registrations received after 11^th January 2026 will be considered in future intakes.


Key details about Pathshala

1. MSJS Suvikas Pathshala is open for all individuals residing in Victoria, Australia, regardless of their age. It is not only for children.
2. Every member within a family will require a separate registration for enrolment.
3. Children will need to be 3 years old by 31st December 2025 to participate. All children under the age of 5 should be accompanied by an adult for online classes.
4. Online classes with Guruji will be twice weekly for 45 minutes each, in groups of up to 8 students. Classes will be conducted via Zoom where student will need to keep their camera ON. Class schedule per below:

5. Classes will run throughout the year, with some allowance for Parva days / holidays etc. which will be communicated near the date.
6. If and as required, Guruji may request parents to join online class to assist in their child’s understanding and learning.
7. Class attendance and learning progress will be tracked by Guruji through the SUVIKAS application. This app contains numerous additional features and functionalities that may not be utilised for MSJS Suvikas Pathshala.
8. Rewards and recognition will be awarded based on student attendance, participation and learning progress.
9. All students can monitor their progress through the SUVIKAS application. In case of a student who is a child, the application can be installed on the parent’s phone to monitor their child’s progress.
10. A new learning syllabus, with Sutra and Vidhi levels incorporated, will be used to track the progress of each student. Learning materials aligned to this syllabus will be provided by MSJS, but students are expected to also continue using their current Sutra/ Vidhi books.
11. While many students will be far progressed in their Sutra learning journey, Guruji will take Shuddhi of previously completed Sutras while also providing Gatha for new Sutras.
12. Decorum and respect for Guruji and Gyan will be maintained through some basic class guidelines, that will be shared with all students and parents ahead of the first class.

Steps to register

1. Submit the registration form including payment of the non-refundable registration cost of $54 per student. MSJS will issue donation receipt once payment received as per the instructions.

2. Submit an enrolment request through SUVIKAS mobile application.

4. Upon submission of the form, confirmation of payment and enrolment request through the application, you can expect to receive an email providing the application user credentials and a unique QR code for ongoing application log in. This will be followed by inclusion into a WhatsApp group with other members of the class that the student has been scheduled for.

Please allow 7-10 days following your form registration and application enrolment to receive confirmation details.

Please note that both Monday & Wednesday class times are nearing maximum capacity and therefore we request you to consider Tuesday & Thursday class options.

We strive to meet all the requested class preferences but where there are capacity limitations your preferred timing may not be guaranteed.
