With the eternal blessings of Dev, Guru and Dharma, MSJS is pleased to inform the Jain community across the globe that it has embarked upon the journey to achieve its own Centre - the MSJS Centre and Shikharbandhi Jinalay. This Centre will serve as a place where current and future generations of the community can find divinity and a guiding light on the path to righteousness.

MSJS Centre’s Objective

  • To assist each soul in achieving path of liberation by providing a dedicated place of worship
  • To perform rituals and celebrate auspicious Jain festivals and events of key importance
  • To spread the message of Jainism throughout Australia
  • To provide support to the increasing Jain population in Melbourne and to instil Jain principles in children borne to Indian parents living in Melbourne

To see this project from start through to completion, many sadharmiks in the MSJS Community have committed to participating in સાકળા ઉપવાસ – a chain of fasting where every day from the start of the project till its completion, a sadharmik will observe fast according to Jain principles. It is estimated that this chain will cross 1800+ fasts by the time the construction of the MSJS Centre and Shikharbandhi Jinalay is completed.
