Mahavir Swami Bhagwan Janm Kalyanak

Chaitra Sud 13 is a Mahavir Swami Janm Kalyanak - a very auspicious day for all Jains. Over two and a half thousand years ago Trishla Mata gave birth to the last Tirthankar of the current era, Shree Mahavir Swami Bhagwan. This year Shree Mahavir Swami Janm Kalyanak is on Sunday, 21st April 2024.

MSJS and DJSM (Digamber Jain Sansthan Melbourne) will be celebrating this special occasion together at MSJS Centre on Sunday, 21st April 2024, and will recall the legacy that Shree Mahavir Swami Bhagwan has left with us.

NOTE for Project Activity:
The model should depict any event where Bhagwan himself is involved, and a classic example is Chandanbala Event. The model cannot exceed the dimensions - 120cm*60cm. Each table will only have one model and the activity will be open from 11am to 12pm.  Please contact Miten (0433370189) for any further queries.

*Aayambil is similar to Ekasana where one should take only one sit-down meal. Aayambil is special because one should not eat anything which has 6 types of Vigai which are Oil, Ghee, Yoghurt, Curd, Milk, and Sugar. One should also not eat any spices, green/raw vegetables, or fruits.

All are requested to park their cars at the appropriate location in MSJS Centre parking and around it once full by adhering to council parking rules and permit requirements.

Regardless of if you do Aayambil or not, PLEASE try to do the following's: 
1. Do not eat roots in these 9 days. 
2. Do Chauvihar as many days as possible - at least do over the weekend 
3. Do Loggasa Khamasana and Navkarvalis as many days as possible - at least do over the weekend.
